Neurotoxin

What types of Neurotoxin do you carry?

We carry Dysport and Xeomin. Xeomin is pure botulinum toxin and does not build resistance over time. Dysport is used for clients with stronger muscles or those who have built a resistance to Botox.

How many units will I need?

The dosage required varies based on your muscular strength and the specific treatment. Generally, for frown lines, an average of 20-25 units is used, 10 units for the forehead, and 15-20 units for crow’s feet.

What other uses are there for neurotoxins?

Xeomin and Dysport can be applied to the Depressor Anguli Oris (DAO) muscle, responsible for the downward pull of the mouth corners, potentially resulting in a permanent frown. Treating this area can produce a significantly renewed appearance.

Another common use for this treatment is a Lip Flip. A lip flip is when tox is strategically injected along the lip borders which creates a subtle plumping effect by relieving tension that may cause a thinner appearance.

Additional uses for neurotoxins are medical such as treatment for Bruxism, Migraines, and Excessive Sweating.

We will happily address your individual concerns and customize a treatment plan during your appointment.

How long does it take for Neurotoxin to work?

Results typically start to show within a few days to a week after the injection, with the full results becoming evident over the course of 2 weeks. However, the exact timeline vary from person to person.

Microneedling

What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a device with fine needles to create tiny controlled punctures in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the skin's natural healing process, promoting collagen and elastin production. This treatment is used to address various dermatological concerns and can improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of scars, wrinkles, fine lines, and enhance overall skin tone and firmness.

Does microneedling hurt?

No, a numbing agent is used for your comfort.

What is the recovery process and healing time?

Immediately after the treatment, your skin may appear red and slightly swollen, similar to a mild sunburn. Some people may experience pinpoint bleeding, but this is typically minimal and stops quickly.

The initial redness and swilling usually subside within a day or two. Most people can return to their regular activities within 2-3 days.

While the visible side effects diminish relatively quickly, the skin continues to heal and you will notice ongoing improvements to your skin’s texture and appearance over several weeks.

Will I need more than one session?

For best results, a series of treatments may be recommended based on your skincare goals.

Chemical Peels

What are chemical peels used for?

A chemical peel is a cosmetic procedure that involves the application of a chemical solution to the skin to exfoliate and remove damaged outer layers. This process encourages new skin growth, resulting in improved texture, tone, and reduced imperfections. Chemical peels are commonly used to treat skin issues like fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, uneven pigmentation, and sun damage, helping to reveal fresher, smoother, and more youthful looking skin.

What is the difference between a chemical peel and microneedling?

A chemical peel involves applying a chemical solution to exfoliate the skin’s top layers, primarily addressing issues like fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation. Microneedling uses fine needles to create micro-injuries, stimulating collagen production and focusing on concerns like scars and skin texture. While both improve skin, chemical peels remove damaged skin, while microneedling triggers natural healing and skin rejuvenation.

How long will I peel for?

The peeling process typically spans seven days, with the majority of peeling concentrated of the third and fourth days. You will be provided with detailed aftercare instructions.

Will I need more than one treatment?

Depending on your unique skin type and concerns, more than one peel may be needed to achieve the results you desire. We will discuss your overall goals and customize a treatment plan to accomplish your rejuvenated look!
